Practical life and sensorial
Practical life: I can do it myselF
Young children are attracted to practical life exercises because such activities allow them to function independently in the adult world. There are four distinct groups of exercises:
• Care of Person (buttoning, washing hands, preparing snack, etc.) • Care of Environment (mopping, sweeping, gardening, etc.) • Development of Social Relations (greeting, thanking, apologizing-- "grace and courtesy lessons") • Movement ("walking on the line", balancing, etc.) |

Sensorial: Exploring the world with all your senses
Montessori sensorial materials enable children to clarify, classify, and comprehend the world around them through the use of all five senses. Subsequently, learning is a natural result of children's inherit curiosity and desire to explore.
